Plant Wildflowers with your business card!

If there are two things I personally love that bleed into this business, it's sustainable packaging and wildflowers. What if I found a way to mix the two?

I think I have! In an effort to reduce the amount of business cards that get disposed of in landfills after you open your eagerly anticipated wares, I had my business cards printed on a wildflower seed paper.

That means that instead of throwing away more packaging, you could grow a blossoming pot of wildflowers instead!

How to plant your wildflower paper to make sure it grows for you:

  1. Plant it under a very thin dusting of soil. (Only 1/8 of an inch.)
  2. Keep it moist during germination and ensure there is good drainage. Don’t let the water pool.
  3. Make sure it gets plenty of sunlight! Wildflowers love the sun.

For visual learners like me, you can watch a video on how to plant your paper here.

What flower seeds are in the paper:

I use Botanical Paperworks' classic wildflower seed paper blend, which includes Catchfly (Silene armeria), Sweet Alyssum (Lobularia maritima), Snapdragon (Linaria), Bird’s Eye (Gila tricolor), Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta), and Clarkia (Clarkia unguiculata).

Please note: some plants may be irritating or toxic for pets or small children if ingested or interacted with. Please do your research if you have pets or little ones running around and plant responsibly!

Thank you for helping me keep business cards out of the landfill - one wildflower at a time. If you grow your business card, please email me or tag me on social media: I'd love to see them!
